The Solidisk EFS is a floppy/hard disc interface for the Electron. It plugs into a cartridge slot in the Plus 1 Expansion and can support 1 or 2 floppy discs and a Winchester hard disc. It is fitted with Solidisk's ADFS version 2.1 E which can support both Acorn DFS and ADFS formats. and has 16 K of sideways RAM. The Solidisk EFS uses a WD1770-PH disc controller. Note the EFS originally had a cover which protected the back of the board but it is missing.
