The  Acorn AKA25 Ethernet podule is based on the Intel 82586 chip. It has 10Base2 and AUI (labelled as "10Base5") connectors. The podule does not have its software in ROM, so it must be loaded from disc (!System) when the card is initialised. It uses the Ether1 driver. The podule was fitted to the R140 Unix Workstation as standard and could be fitted as an upgrade to any Archimedes computer.
