Customer Success Stories The Acorn Group is enjoying greatly increased confidence among both developers and customers, with new products like the StrongARM processor for the Risc PC, and the Acorn NetStation. As part of the Acorn Risc Technologies marketing plan, Chris Cox has commissioned me to survey the Acorn scene, and identify instances worthy of Case Studies. The best of these will then be written up for publication as Customer Success Stories - notably on the ART Web site, in the section "Acorn in Action". Some Case Studies may also be written up for publication in magazines and newspapers. We are looking for instances which represent best current practice using Acorn and third-party products - both hardware and software. Naturally, those using current model Acorn computers will be of particular interest - and especially those leading edge instances using (or intending to use) StrongARM processors. However, examples using earlier Acorn (RISC) machines in demanding or unusual situations will also be worth mentioning. Of course, in asking third party developers, we hope and expect you to mention instances which use your own products to advantage. Nevertheless if you should know of interesting applications of other Acorn and third party products - either running on the same machine, or completely different instances - we would like also to hear about them. What we are looking for initially is just brief details on each - enough for us to judge their merits. As well the model of Acorn computer concerned, any third party product should be mentioned, and whether it is a standard product or developed especially for this instance. Please mention as many separate instances as you think worthy of note. After six years with Computer Concepts as a full-time Marketing Manager, I am now freelancing for them and for ART. As some of you will know, I was previously a freelance writer and reviewer for A & B Computing - which became Archimedes World. In that context I wrote and had published articles on Acorn and third party products totalling about 400,000 words over six years.
