The Cumana IDE to Panasonic CEROM interface allows a CDROM with a Panasonic interface to connect to the RiscPC's on-board IDE interface. It is only required for some early Panasonic (or other) CDROM which pre-date standard IDE or SCSI interfaces. The little daughterboard is for CD Audio connecting, the audio output on the CDROM to the audio in connector on the motherboard.

I am not 100% sure but I think that the Cumana SLCD software is compatible with this interface, it is available HERE.
