The Solidisk Real Time Clock and Desk (RTC) can be plugged into any ROM socket on the BBC Model B. The RTC is powered by a rechargeable battery which should keep the RTC active throughout the Summer holidays. Apart from giving the Time and Date, the RTC has many of the AUTO-CONFIGURE features of the Master with the same commend syntax, a friendly DESKTOP program for use with the AMX MOUSE , a DIARY and a Calculator.

The Solidisk RTC has a HD146818P Real Time Clock and a Solidisk ROM with a rechargeable Varta battery providing power to keep the correct time when the computer is powered off.

Here is the Solidisk Technology Real Time Clock Owner's manual .
