Product Marketing responses to the plethora of EMail and Bulletin Board 
comments.

Thank you for the outstanding positive responses to our first posting. 

A large number of people have EMail'd us already with various comments, 
virtually all positive and constructive. 

In no particular order, here are some of the key responses to the questions 
raised: 

   1) We will now move as quickly as possible to attempt to reach a 
   satisfactory arrangement for the provision of an Acorn credit card.   

   A further announcement will be made in 4/6 weeks time. 

   2)  For those people who have EMail'd Product Marketing, we have arranged 
   for some pro forma responses to be created to allow everyone the courtesy of 
   an acknowledgement. 

   3)  Regarding the manufacture of Risc PCs, we are using every technique 
   available to Acorn to bring forward production, including air freighting 
   wherever necessary/appropriate. 

   4)  As you are all no doubt well aware, the response to Risc PC 
   has exceeded everyones expectation and in this market condition there 
   will always be some inequalities often perceived, not actual. 

   We can assure you that Acorn is extremely sensitive to the supply situation 
   and we are doing everything to attempt to "please most of the people most 
   of the time". 

   5)  Based on your comments and feedback, it is most certain we will extend 
   the remit beyond 3 months and will repost all of the relevant information at 
   the commencement of the university autumn term. 

   6)  The Second Processor Card information will be placed on the FTP server 
   tomorrow. 

One final teaser on future ARM processor cards, is that we have a number of 
different ARM processors now running at higher clock speeds internally, the 
performance data mirrors the predicted data in our data sheet (APP 693). 

When we have concluded our deliberations and commercial negotiations, we 
will of course inform you of availability and type.
