The Acorn AKD50 Archimedes Floppy Disc Upgrade allows a single floppy Archimedes to be upgraded with a second 3.5" floppy disc drive. The upgrade consists of:

• Replacement front panel with cut out for the second floppy drive,
• Dual disc drive cable to connect the second drive,
• A selection of model number labels to allow you to put the correct label on the front panel,
• A 3.5" floppy disc drive and bracket (not shown here).

I upgraded my original Archimedes A310 with a second floppy disc drive because I found a single floppy was too restrictive when writing software and a hard disc was too expensive. I used one disc for the tools and compilers and the other for programs and data.
