Here are 3 HCCS A3 IDE interfaces, the first 2 with a blue circuit board, the second with a green circuit board. The main difference is the Amstrong-Walker IDE A3000 ROM versions.

The first interface (serial no M-IDE-A3-100806) has a 21MB Conner CP2024 hard disc attached to the top of the mini-podule, the drive takes its power from the ribbon cable connector. On the backplane there is a BBC User port and 40 pin IDE connector. All the logic is on the bottom of the circuit board. The ROM is HCCS IDE A3 V3-00.

The second interface (serial number IDE-A3-102023) has a 60MB Conner CP2064 hard disc attached to the top of the mini-podule, like the CP2024 the drive only requires a 5V power supply and takes its power from the ribbon connector. The ROM is Armstrong-Walker A3000 IDE v4.00.

The third interface (serial no IDE-A3-104484) does not have a disc mounted, but shows the internal 40 pin connector on the top of the card. The back plane has not had an external IDE connector fitted and still has a blank plate in the cutout. The ROM is A3000 IDE Version 5.

The HCCS IDE Manager software is available on Andy Armstrong's HCCS Survivors  web page and HERE.
