The Watford Electronics Hard Disk podule is an ST506 disc controller using the HD63463P8 Hard Disk controller chip. The podule could support 2 ST506 hard discs and was compatible with the Acorn hard disc interface in the A400 and A400/1. Typically it was used in an A300 which did not have a hard disk interface on the motherboard. The controller has 2 ribbon cables, the thin one for commands and the widerone for data.
