Both of these Watford Electronics Disc Interfaces are dessigned to allow 5¼" floppy discs to be connected to the Archimedes floppy disc interface. The first one may be earlier than the second from the manufacting date on the chips. The first interface appears only to support an external disc. The second interrface supports an internal 3.5" floppy as well as an external one. Both interfaces take a +5V and 0V (red and black wire) feed from the Archimedes.

I have no documentation for the Watford Electronics Archimedes Disc interface.
