This is a very early podule from 1988, at the time much of Computer Concepts BBC software was ROM based and so maybe they assumed that ROM software was the way forward on the Archimedes. I have used the Acorn ROM podule to run BBC ROM software under the 6502 emulator, but I don't think it ever caught on. I suspect most people upgraded to native Archimedes disc based software as soon as it became available.
