Watford Electronics ARM3 Upgrade
The Watford Electronics ARM3 upgrade has a 25MHz ARM CPU. The A3xx, A440 and A4xx/1 had socketed ARM2 CPUs which could easily be upgraded with an ARM3 CPU, with a substantial performance improvement (see Performance page). The clock speed of the ARM3 CPU is half the speed of the crystal mounted above it (i.e. 50/2 = 25MHz), 30MHz and 33MHz upgrades were also produced by various companises.
